Better music through GNU!

linuxguitarThis really caught me off guard. Two of my favorite things combined Linux and Electric Guitars. The Linux Guitar Project is seeking to make a “Smart Guitar” It’s still very much in the planning stage but this ambitious project seeks to revolutionize the electric guitar as it’s currently known. The project is looking at feature like being able to tune the guitar, record, edit, add effects and stream wirelessly all accessed through a touchscreen on the instrument itself. Some ideas being thrown around include the addition of multiple usb ports to accommodate recording to a usb drive of some sort. If you’re into Linux or if you’re a Guitar player you owe it to yourself to head on over to http://linuxguitar.org and at the very least keep an eye on it if not participate.

The Fresh Beatz (We’re talking ziploc fresh!)

Thanks to a mention on the Penny-Arcade website I found what turned out to be a killer Hip-Hop crew called Optimus Rhyme and they kick ass . I highly suggest going to thier site and downloading the singles to give it a listen. I can assure you the rest of the CD is as good if not better!.
